![]() What you have to do is configure that card to have a completely different subnet than your other card. if you absolutely HAVE to connect to that ATEM using that 2nd network card (which I HAVE to assume is being directly wired to the ATEM with no other gear in-between (like another router (diagram would help to confirm)). Next person who comes on here with a networking issue I think I'll insist on a full diagram of how they are connecting things.ģ) So. it would have been nice to know that you are trying to setup this with two network cards in your system. Each device on any network must have a unique IP address. but VERY difficult unless you are a network admin hotshot.ġ) That Realtek network card has the SAME IP address as the ATEM. It's not impossible to setup the ATEM in this way. please continue reading for further help below) I do wonder if it's just best I bash my head against a brick wall. If that is the case now then there is NO NO NO reason why you would need a 2nd network card to connect to the ATEM. You said that they were (to this firewall). You have two network cards - and the result is a thoroughly confused system.ĮDIT2: Are you absolutely 100% certain that you need to use two networking cards? I asked you how you had connected the ATEM and your Desktop(whatever) to the exact same router. The result of this would be the ATEM would still be blocked unless it's MAC address was known to the firewall. Instead you have to link the MAC address of devices to specific IP addresses. One of those would be MAC-Layer security that would not allow just anything to be connected. If an organization has implemented more specialized firewalls I would also expect they may have employed additional security measures. I'm just trying to understand how specialized that firewall unit is. Is this "firewall" a specialized device (dedicated as a firewall) or is it merely a standard router with a WAN port and multiple LAN ports? Have you tried pinging the IP address of the ATEM from your laptop? you are connecting a USB cable from your Laptop to your ATEM and then running the ATEM Setup Utility to configure the IP address. I think we've all been assuming you are in fact setting the ATEM's IP address by the usual (and only) method to do that. You are now connecting both your laptop and the ATEM to your "firewall"?ĮDIT: And (as per tom below). It just brings up a "red flag" to me that something may still be odd about how you are trying to configure things. No sure if that is simply a Typo - as the ATEM has no place for you to configure a DNS (it doesn't need this). The only odd thing I notice is that you list DNS for the ATEM. that's entirely different to what you had before.
